HIGH ALERT for puppies...

Our dog, Abbi, is showing signs of having pups very soon. She has been staying in the pool we bought for her to whelp in and appears to be shivering. Poor thing seems miserable! More details when we have some puppies...and pictures! The kids have had a blast having her in this week so they will surely be pumped when the puppies arrive.

PUPPIES

Well, it is official...we will be having puppies at the end of this month. Our dog, Abbi, is definitely pregnant! We had her bred at the end of January and it takes 63 days for dogs to have the pups. So we should have them right around Easter. If she goes the 63 days it will be the Tuesday after Easter. This will be her first litter so it will be quite an experience for us! Mike has never had pups before so it is a totally new experience for him. The boys will probably want to keep them but NO WAY says mom!

Last Week of February

Well, here I am late on updating again! Things have been very busy around here lately. This weekend Mike and I went to see Ron White and it was the funniest thing EVER! We were nearly rolling in the aisle! The boys got to spend the weekend with Grandma Sue...they sure do enjoy going there. We also welcomed the time away for a little while.

Tonight is another Mavericks hockey game that we are planning to attend. The boys always get so excited when they know they will get to go to a game. Last week we went to a West High School game and they enjoyed it just as much. They love hockey so much they play it every day in the basement. Right now I am listening to Avery yell 'I scored' while raising his stick. Here is a picture of him in Blake's hockey helmet on the potty because he had to go and didn't want to take the helmet off! Too funny!

Avery Update

We had an appointment for Avery today at his cardiologist. He is doing great! He has gained 3 lbs since his November appt which seemed to impress the doctor. We won't have to go back until June for a checkup and then he will have a heart cath some time in July or August.

After his appt we went to Chuck-e-Cheese to reward Avery for getting potty trained (not completely but he is doing great!). They both enjoyed it very much! They were totally in awe of the whole experience.

The boys are continuing to take Wednesdays to go skating and they keep improving all the time. Avery has now begun putting on his brother's hockey helmet and gloves to play hockey all on his own. He is so funny to watch. Blake is a great big brother always playing with him...he really enjoys it!

Go Mavericks!

We attended another Maverick's hockey game last night. The boys enjoy them so much. It is fun to watch their faces as the crowd chants, sings and cheers. Avery is so amazed by all of it!

Speaking of Avery, he is doing so well potty training. He has had very few accidents this past week...maybe 2. He has been promised a visit to Chuck-e-Cheese if he continues to do well until Friday. We have a check up with his cardiologist that day and thought we would make a day of it.
We are currently dog sitting for Grandma Sue as she took a week vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico! Sure wish I could have stowed away in the suitcase for that one! So Lily is here for the weekend and Jamie will take her the rest of the week. She is already homesick and just lays on the couch wishing to see her 'mom' come through the door.

On another puppy front...we don't have confirmation yet but we are sure that Abbi is pregnant. She has turned into this over-protective, barking dog! She is constantly barking at every little sound and she is a very quiet, reserved dog normally! So something is up with her...we hope it is about 7 pups!

New Year's Resolution

So since we have come to a new year I think I need to make a resolution to update this at least once a week. So much has happened in the past month...we have finished skating lessons, gone sledding, celebrated Christmas & New Years, gone to a Mavericks game and gone to see Seasame Street Live and discover what Elmo wants to be when he grows up!


Avery is currently potty training and we are making head-way. He was accident free at the Elmo show and the Mavericks game. I am hoping to be done with diapers soon...one less expense we can do without. Avery LOVED the hockey game and keeps asking daily to attend another one. He has been out practicing skating with his big brother.

Blake has been going skating with uncle Jamie and Daddy every Wed to practice. According to mom he is doing great but what do I know...I come from a wrestling family!

Wow, I am really bad at keeping this up! Think that will be my New Year's resolution to be more efficient on keeping people updated! We will see how that goes. Anyway, what have we been up to...well, Blake has been continuing his skating lessons, Avery turned two and they are both very excited about Santa coming. This past weekend they were sick and missed Blake's very first Christmas program at church. I think we were more disappointed than he was but then again he was the one sick!
